PixelNW document formatting sample Change log This self-initiated fictional project brief demonstrates document formatting. It is not client work and contains no real client information, testimonials or project results. Files - PixelNW_document_formatting_sample.docx: the editable two-page result. - PixelNW_document_formatting_sample.pdf: the two-page preview. - PixelNW_before_and_after.pdf: two landscape spreads comparing the same pages before and after formatting. Zoom in for close reading. Formatting changes - Typography: replaced mixed serif and sans-serif body text with Arial. Set a consistent type scale for the title, section headings, body and table. - Headings: strengthened the visual hierarchy using Word Title and Heading 1 styles. Kept headings with the content that follows. - Spacing: standardised line and paragraph spacing, list indents and section spacing. Preserved the deliberate page break before the delivery plan. - Table: balanced column widths, added cell padding, styled the header and used alternating row shading with visible light borders. The table remains editable. Content preservation The before and after versions contain identical body text, headings, list items and table cells in the same order. Only formatting changed. Checks completed Every page of the baseline, clean preview and comparison was visually reviewed. The clean result is two pages. All source text is present in the PDF. A separate DOCX copy passed text and table edit-and-save checks; the delivered file contains native text and one native table and has no editing restriction. Compatibility note The preview was rendered in LibreOffice using an Arial-compatible font. Microsoft Word was not used for validation; pagination can vary with the editor and installed fonts. The PDF preserves the reviewed layout.
